Toni Pepperoni
I’ve had my female Ragdoll Holly Michelle for 6-7 years; she was re-homed from Tasmania and ended up being my dearest companion, particularly as I was by myself during Melbourne’s covid lockdowns. She’s now 11-12 years old and is still so full of life and love.
When I met (and subsequently moved in with) my partner and her 9yo son, they both fell in love with Holly immediately and it’s been amazing for us to become a quirky family of four, but something was missing…
We decided we wanted to find a feline baby sister, originally, and when we found Lina at Primavera Ragdolls, we knew we had found the right breeder. Lina is so much more than a cat breeder; she is at once the Queen of the Cats, and their endlessly devoted and loving round-the-clock servant. It’s immediately obvious the knowledge and care she has for the wellbeing of the cats and kittens, so when she gently shared that she thought a baby boy would be a more suitable (and less threatening) energy match for our older girl, we knew we could trust her judgment.
Lina was totally transparent throughout; she stayed in touch during Queen Juliette’s pregnancy and birth, sharing with us that our baby and his siblings had arrived safely and sharing pictures and videos, as well as FaceTime chats. Hearing her praise and care for the post-partum mum, seeing the cleanliness and safety of the bedding and housing for the litter, and getting to understand more about the processes around preparing the babies for life beyond Primavera; we were included every step of the way. We visited with our big human boy to meet his new kitten, and Lina was so kind to him, showing him a brand new litter when she learned that he loves animals and science.
Lina gives new families heaps of practical information on how to care for their kittens. It’s hard to explain how genuinely loving she is to each individual cat in her home, and the priceless value of the way she’s socialised them and prepared them for home life. Bringing Tony Pepperoni home to quickly learn that he is calm, adjusted, toilet trained, comfortable being brushed and groomed, not destructive, healthy, playful, sleepy, sweet… well! What can I say?! All thanks to the hours and hours of love and care that Lina gave him for the first 14 weeks of his life. I must also mention the thought and care Lina puts in to all the treats, supplies and resources that Tony came home with to set him (and us) up for success.
Tony is the purrfect addition to our family. My partner and her son were a little duo, Holly and I were a duo, but Tony isours, and he has really brought us all together in a way that we can’t fully describe; a sweet little (very fluffy, blue-eyed) cherry on top of our family. Thank you Lina. We promise we will love him so much.
